Iron is a trace element used by plants to green up foliage and facilitate photosynthesis. While the quantity needed is very small the consequences of under supply are dramatic in terms of plant health and the nutritional value of produce.

Ag-Grow Aquaponic Iron Supplement consists of a carefully formulated selection of inorganic and chelated iron products selected for efficacy, stability and ability to function in a wide range of water qualities.

Application

Shake well before use - every time
Fish tank additions

Add 3ml of Iron Supplement per 100 litres of tank water (for example a 500 litre fish tank needs 15ml and a1000 litre tank 30ml)
Dilute Iron Booster in a bucket of fish tank water then add to the tank. Repeat this dose, as above after 3 days or as required.
Try to retain a permanent slight pink hue. 1-2 ppm soluble Iron, is considered a near optimum range for most systems.

The pink colour is not an issue and due to one of the important components. Any Iron that precipitates out of solution will not cause any harm to fish. All soluble iron at some point will no longer be bio-available, due to either photosynthetic degradation, oxidation or chemical action from other elements in solution. This poses zero risk to plants or fish and is a perfectly natural process seen everywhere in nature.

The pink tint goes some distance to indicate when it is time to re-dose the tank, but it is only part of the story, never the less a good indicator. Preferrably dont wait until the colour is completely gone, but try to retain a permanent slight hue.
